Matt Cox is a playwright, actor, improviser, and former comic book retail associate based in New York City.
His plays include Puffs Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years At A Certain School Of Magic & Magic, Happy Little Trees: A Bobyssey, Cool Chefs Jr., The Madness of Captain Dread, and the 3-part epic Kapow-i GoGo (as well as it's spinoffs The Kapow-i GoGo Holiday Special & I am Mr. Snuggles.) He authored the radio play El Hombre Bovino for WNYC’s The Greene Space, and contributed to The Flea Theater’s The Mysteries. His work has been produced at New World Stages, The Elektra Theater, The People’s Improv Theater, The Tank, and The Flea Theater, among other places.
His acting credits include: Kapow-i GoGo (The PIT), Blogologues, The Mysteries (FLEA THEATER), Sarah Flood in Salem Mass (FLEA THEATER), & Restoration Comedy (FLEA THEATER).
Matt has studied at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade, The Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and Tarleton State University.
He is a director/ actor for The Story Pirates.
